Southern Crimes Series Book Three
From the back cover:
His cover is blown. Now his enemies are on his heels and closing in.
Michael Hunt is alive–and on the run. Presumed dead by friends and family, the undercover assignment he’s been working for the past eight months has just been blown. With a hit out on his life and corruption inside the Atlanta police department, Michael finds himself hunted by both the cartel and the law. His only hope is Olivia Hamilton–the daughter of the man who wants him dead.
This nonstop chase from Christy Award-winning Lisa Harris will leave you breathless.
This is the first novel I’ve read by Lisa Harris. I was “introduced” to her on a Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt (I’m not sure which one now…). I’ve been following her blog (http://myblogintheheartofafrica.blogspot.com) for awhile now. Back in October, she was looking for influencers for Hidden Agenda and Taken on her newsletter. I requested to join and was so happy to receive Hidden Agenda a little while later to review. (I hope that I can continue to help spread the word about her work as an influencer!)
Where do I start with this novel?…..
Liam Quinn/Michael Hunt is in a bad predicament. Is he going to leave this assignment dead or alive? He is seconds from death in the first few pages… His story is one that will have you crying, cheering, and crying some more.
Ivan witnesses horrific acts and feels compelled to help where he can. He is such a unique and lovable character nonetheless. You root for him just like you would your own brother!
Olivia Hamilton is at odds with these accusations against her father and has doubts about the man she knows and loves. She doesn’t know who, or what to believe.
Olivia and Ivan’s world is turned upside down in a moment.
The rest of the story is intriguing and full of twists and turns that keep you up at night, trying to finish the book in one sitting. (I unfortunately wasn’t able to finish it in one sitting and had to begrudgingly go to sleep, but I was back up and devouring this story again for a couple days.)
The gorgeous Georgia coast setting sounds so beautiful and calming, quite the backdrop for such a story. I suppose that is part of this book’s allure. You won’t think about some of your favorite vacation spots in the same way again!
(Let me know if you still do after reading this book!)
The novel opens like a Hollywood action movie (and keeps you gripped just the same.) I was kind of surprised by the amount of action going on in this book – it’s definitely not a bad thing! It’s a nice break from the “typical” Christian Fiction that I normally read and I think I’ve recently fallen in love with the Christian Fiction Romantic Suspense genre.
Now I have to read the other books in the Southern Crimes Series! (Not right now – eventually. :))
*I was provided a copy of Hidden Agenda from Lisa Harris to be an influencer regarding the book. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
