The Better Man
by Amy Vastine
January 1st 2014
Kendall Montgomery’s six-year-old son has barely spoken in the past year, locked in his world of silent grief. Then one day, he spots his dead father across a crowded street.
Max Jordan moved to Chicago to be closer to his own son and prove he can be a better father than his deadbeat dad. His striking resemblance to Kendall’s husband and his track record with fatherhood make her determined to keep her distance until Max helps her little boy come out of his shell. But can she trust him with their future? How can she be sure he won’t take off just when they need him most?
Amy Vastine has been plotting stories in her head for as long as she can remember. An eternal optimist, she studied social work, hoping to teach others how to find their silver lining. Now, she enjoys creating happily ever afters for all to read.Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download

If I were giving this book an Amazon rating it would be a FIVE STAR book!
I’m really beginning to love these Prism Book Tour books! (This is my third review and I LOVE it. You should look into it, if you love reading!) I opened this book last week while my husband and I were traveling and finished it the same day! I love books like this that grip you and you don’t want to put them down! (This was a book that did that.) The Better Man seemed to have a different storyline than any other book that I have ever read. It was extremely refreshing to read totally new content. (Trust me. Read this book and see how well Amy Vastine did creating a totally new love story!)
Kendall truly has a lot on her plate. I am amazed at what all she is able to juggle… Her family (with the exception of her father in law) is absolutely amazing! (I just realized reading the Tour Launch post that this is a series about the Everheart girls! Which is Kendall and her two sisters…they are so quirky and unique and absolutely adorable and instantly lovable. (Check out the tour launch to see the dynamic between them! The link is right below this post under “Launch”.) I imagine Kendall’s job as something straight out of an HGTV episode.(She’s a designer.)
Simon is Kendall’s son. He has really taken the death of his dad hard. He has secrets buried away (and we will learn so does Kendall). It is heartbreaking to read about what all Simon has to go through. Simon’s disorder is not something that I have personally heard of, but I can see this being a very real condition particularly in individuals (children or adults) who lose loved ones unexpectedly.
Max is a guy I think we would all love to hate – most of the story. Although, he is trying SO hard on so many levels so you can’t help but to root for him. The restaurant sound like an interesting place to work and a wonderful place to eat! I’m partial to sushi type places though. They are my favorite!
